Lebanon is currently experiencing stable autumn weather with daytime temperatures rising above seasonal averages, while nights remain cold, especially in inland and mountainous areas. Conditions will hold until early Sunday, when the region is expected to be affected by a low-pressure system moving in from southern Italy, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures, heavy rain at times, and active winds. The system is forecast to begin easing by Monday afternoon.
Expected Weather in Lebanon
Friday: Partly cloudy with high clouds and low humidity. Temperatures rise around 4°C above seasonal norms. Nights remain cold in the mountains and interior. Winds strengthen in the north and south, reaching up to 50 km/h.
Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy with high clouds. Slight temperature drop along the coast and mountains, while temperatures rise inland. Humidity increases in the afternoon. Winds pick up in the evening, with cloud cover thickening overnight. Conditions become favorable for scattered rain by early Sunday.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with dense fog over high elevations, limiting visibility. Temperatures drop significantly—around 4°C below seasonal averages. Scattered showers throughout the day, turning heavy at times with thunderstorms and strong winds up to 60 km/h, causing rough seas. Risk of flooding on some roads. Snow expected at 2,300 meters and above.
Monday: Partly cloudy with fog over higher elevations and an additional decrease in temperature. Scattered rain continues, with snow at 2,200 meters and above. Rainfall gradually eases from the afternoon onward.
Note: Pope Leo XIV will visit Lebanon from Sunday, November 30, to Tuesday, December 2.
