Pope Leo XIV in Annaya Delivers Message: Dialogue Is the Road to Peace

The Superior General of the Lebanese Maronite Order, Abbot Hadi Mahfouz, welcomed Pope Leo XIV to the Mar Maroun Monastery in Annaya, expressing the joy of the Order and the faithful at this blessed visit.
After the reception, His Holiness delivered a speech in which he said: "We ask the Lord for peace in the world, and we offer a special plea for Lebanon and the entire Levant. We remind everyone that there can be no peace without talks and dialogue.”
The Pope added: “O Lord, You who granted Saint Charbel the grace to keep silence in a life of humility and to be guided by the light of truth, grant us, as we follow his example, to journey through the desert of this world in the good fight of faith.”
