Aoun meets Karami, receives more congratulatory cables on Independence Day

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received at Baabda palace MP Faisal Karami, with whom he discussed the general situation.
Following the meeting, MP Karami affirmed that "the visit was to reiterate support for President Aoun's positions, especially under these circumstances, and to discuss the latest developments."
On the other hand, President Aoun continued to receive further congratulatory cables marking the 82nd anniversary of Lebanon's Independence, most notably from the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, the Emir of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, King Felipe VI of Spain, and the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
