Haidar meets hospitality, tourism unions

Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar received a delegation from the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Nightclubs, and Pastry Shops in Lebanon, headed by Tony Ramy, who briefed him on the sector’s current conditions. Discussions focused on the mechanisms the ministry will adopt to finalize the paperwork of foreign workers and regularize their status at the Ministry of Labor and subsequently at General Security.
Minister Haidar also met a delegation from the Tourist Guides Syndicate, led by Jean Claude Hawat and attended by General Labor Confederation President Dr. Bechara Asmar. Talks addressed the overall situation of tourist guides, efforts to support their inclusion in the National Social Security Fund, and the development of labor legislation governing the profession.
