The Ministry of Public Works announced that it has raised its level of preparedness ahead of the expected weather front, confirming that emergency and field teams have been deployed along critical routes for immediate intervention when needed.

The ministry said its teams are working around the clock, supported by contractors and supervisory offices across all regions. Snow-removal centers in mountainous areas have been placed on full alert to ensure swift action and keep roads open.

On the northern coast, full readiness has been declared—especially in areas that previously experienced water accumulation, notably in Dbayeh and Jounieh, extending along the coastal road to the Syrian border. Similar preparations are underway along the mountain route from Hazmieh to Zahle and the Bekaa.

In the southern suburbs of Beirut and along the southern coast, teams have been deployed from Khaldeh through Jiyyeh and Zahrani to Nabatieh to handle any potential emergencies.

As part of its preventive plan, the ministry is also re-cleaning all known critical points across Lebanon’s coastal and inland areas to keep roads passable and prevent flooding.

The ministry urged citizens to follow official weather updates, adhere to safety guidelines, and avoid unnecessary risks during periods of heavy rainfall.
