Berri Meets French Presidential Envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian and his accompanying delegation at the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh, in the presence of French Ambassador Hervé Magro.
The meeting, which lasted over an hour, touched on developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as political and field updates amid Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon. Discussions also covered bilateral relations between Lebanon and France.
Speaker Berri later met former Prime Minister Najib Mikati for talks on political developments and general affairs.
Among Berri’s visitors was MP Hadi Abou El-Hassan, Secretary of the Democratic Gathering bloc, accompanied by Rima Saliba, President of the “Nidal for Humanity” Association, and the association’s secretary Raafat Nasser. The meeting included a review of current conditions, while Saliba briefed Berri on the association’s programs and human-rights-related activities.
