President Aoun holds talks with Sultan Haitham during official visit to Oman

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun continued his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman holding a private meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq at Al-Alam Palace, followed by expanded talks between the two delegations.

The Lebanese side included Ministers of Ineterior Ahmad Hajjar, Defense Michel Menassa, Foreign Affairs Youssef Raggi, Health Rakan Nasreddine, and Agriculture Nizar Hani, in addition to ambassador-designate to Oman Majdi Ramadan and President Aoun’s personal adviser Brig. Gen. Andreh Rahal.

The Omani delegation comprised Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Head of the Royal Office Hamad bin Saeed Al Aufi, Minister of Labor Mohad bin Saeed Ba’aeen, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, and Health Minister Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, along with Oman’s ambassador to Lebanon Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi.

Talks covered issues of mutual interest, with agreement reached on several points to be reflected in the joint statement that will follow the visit.

After the meeting, Sultan Haitham bid farewell to President Aoun, while members of the Lebanese delegation proceeded to hold discussions with their Omani counterparts.

President Aoun also signed the Golden Guest Book at Al-Alam Palace, highlighting the palace’s historic significance as a symbol of Omani wisdom and diplomacy.
