Trump threatens to launch airstrikes against drug cartels

US President Donald Trump revealed that the United States will begin launching ground strikes targeting drug cartels in Latin America.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said: ‘We managed to stop 96 percent of drug smuggling operations by sea, and now we will begin attacking on land, which is much easier, and that will start soon.’
Bloomberg reported that Trump once again declined to provide details on when and where the military escalation would actually begin, or whether countries could do anything to avoid the ground strikes.
