King Charles III of the United Kingdom announced that his cancer treatment will be eased in the new year thanks to early diagnosis, effective intervention, and adherence to doctors’ instructions.

Charles, 77, shared this information in a recorded message broadcast on British television as part of a campaign encouraging the public to take advantage of screenings that can detect cancer at an early stage, making it easier to treat.

The King emphasized in his message that "early diagnosis simply saves lives."

He added, "I also know the difference it has made in my own case, allowing me to continue living a full and active life even while undergoing treatment."

The recorded message gave Charles an opportunity to reflect on his experiences over the 22 months since he announced he would undergo treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer.
