Aoun: Efforts Underway to Stabilize Security in the South

President Joseph Aoun affirmed that contacts are ongoing domestically and abroad to stabilize security and maintain calm in the south through negotiations via the “mechanism” committee.
Speaking to a delegation from the Tashnag Party, Aoun stressed the need for all parties to act with national responsibility, emphasizing that national unity is crucial to strengthening Lebanon’s position, particularly during negotiations.
He added that targeting the state would yield no results, noting that the Lebanese people’s confidence in the state remains firm and has been restored.
