Raggi leads a series of meetings in Brussels

On the sidelines of his participation in the EU-Lebanon Association Council ninth meeting in Brussels, Minister of Foreign Affairs Youssef Raggi held a meeting with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
The discussions touched on developments in Lebanon and the region, and ways to strengthen the bilateral partnership.
Kallas affirmed "the European Union's readiness to support Lebanon across various fields, and to work towards elevating the Lebanon-EU partnership to a strategic and comprehensive relationship once the required reforms are implemented."
Kallas also welcomed the progress achieved Lebanon achieved to date in implementing reforms and strengthening the state's monopoly on arms.
Minister Raggi also met with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica, with discussions touching on reforms, the situation in south Lebanon, and support for the Lebanese army.
The Foreign Minister also met with his Irish counterpart, Helen McEntee, who renewed her country's commitment to UNIFIL forces.
