Agriculture Ministry confirms safety measures for cattle shipment from Egypt

The Ministry of Agriculture affirmed that all required veterinary and health quarantine procedures for the cattle vessel arriving from Egypt were implemented in line with approved standards. The ship reached Beirut Port on 16 December, where samples were taken and tests confirmed the animals were free of diseases, including foot-and-mouth disease.
On 19 December, the cattle were vaccinated with the new SET 1 vaccine. Ongoing monitoring, quarantine measures, and field inspections are continuing under ministry supervision.
