Morcos: Council of Ministers praised army's efforts, military leadership will work on North Litani plan

Reading out today’s Cabinet session’s decisions, Information Minister Paul Morcos said: "President Aoun congratulated us on the achievements we have made, and that we must continue with the same momentum. The President also stressed that Lebanon will not be a launchpad for any operations against Syria."
Minister Morcos added, "The Council of Ministers also reviewed a presentation from the army command on the arms control plan and commended the efforts of the military institution and what it is doing."
The Minister added: "The Lebanese army command will work on preparing a plan to control weapons north of the Litani River, to be presented to the Council of Ministers next February."
Morcos also pointed out that "the Cabinet approved most of the items listed on its agenda, and is following up on the issue of the public sector and teachers, and will hold special sessions in this regard."
