Tourism Minister meets Lebanese hotel owners to discuss sector challenges

A delegation from the newly elected board of directors of the Lebanese Hotel Owners Syndicate, headed by its president Pierre Achkar, on Friday visited Tourism Minister Laura Lahoud, in her office at the ministry.
The delegation raised with Minister Lahoud the current situation and challenges facing the country's hotel and tourism sector.
Achkar thanked Minister Lahoud for her efforts to ensure the appropriate conditions for the smooth operation of tourism institutions and to revitalize the country’s touristic sector.
For her part, Lahoud welcomed the delegation, stressing "the cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the Syndicate to achieve the interest of the hotel and tourism sector in Lebanon," and praised "the efforts made by the Syndicate in this regard," expressing the Ministry’s "readiness to do everything possible to achieve this goal."
