“Abou Omar” Case Developments After Charges Were Filed

Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Beirut, Judge Raja Hamoush, has charged Sheikh Khaldoun Oraymetand his son Muhammad, along with Mustafa Al-Hassyan (Abou Omar), with crimes including “damaging relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, fraud and extortion, influencing politicians and their voting decisions, and impersonation.”
Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabsabi has been charged with providing false testimony, and all of them have been referred to Beirut’s First Investigative Judge, Roula Othman.
