Karami monitors school safety, calls for protecting educational institutions

The press office of the Ministry of Education issued a statement saying that Minister Rima Karami is closely and daily monitoring the situation of public schools, particularly those located in areas exposed to Israeli attacks. This follows recent airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on civilian targets in the town of Kfar Hatta in southern Lebanon.
Minister Karami renewed her call on influential states, the international community, and the United Nations to exert pressure on Israel to halt attacks on civilians and to spare educational institutions from warfare and bombardment.
The Minister also paid tribute to parents, students, and teachers who continue to uphold their right to safe living conditions and access to education despite the ongoing conditions of war, destruction, and loss of life.
