Paris to Host Army Support Conference on March 5

President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun chaired a meeting at Baabda Palace before noon today, attended by Saudi Foreign Minister’s adviser Prince Yazid bin Farhan, French envoy and former minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa, and the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Walid Bukhari, Egypt, Alaa Moussa, Qatar, Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and France, Hervé Magro. Also present was Qatari Assistant Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.
The meeting focused on ongoing preparations for a conference in support of the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces, which is scheduled to be held in Paris on March 5 and will be opened by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Participants also agreed to carry out the necessary contacts to ensure the broadest possible participation in the conference.
