Prime Ministers of Lebanon and Jordan hold talks at Grand Serail

The eighth session of the joint Lebanese-Jordanian Higher Committee began at 4:15 pm at the Grand Serail, chaired by the Prime Ministers of of the two countries, Nawaf Salam and Jafar Hassan.
Jordan’s Prime Minister Hassan arrived at the Grand Serail around 3:30 pm, where he was welcomed by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. Following the official reception ceremony and honor guard, Prime Ministers Salam and Hassan held a bilateral meeting to discuss the current political developments and the ties between the two countries.
Prime Ministers Salam and Hassan then co-chaired a meeting of the Lebanon-Jordan Joint Higher Committee, attended on the Lebanese side by Ministers of Economy and Trade Amer Bisat, Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi, National Defense Major General Michel Menassa, Energy and Water Joe Saddi, Industry Joe Issa Khoury, Interior and Municipalities Brigadier General Ahmad al-Hajjar, and Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny, as well as Lebanese Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Brigitte Tawk, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Judge Mahmoud Makkieh, and PM Salam's advisors Ambassador Claude Hajal and Farah Khatib.
On the Jordanian side, the Joint Higher Committee meeting was attended by Transport Minister Dr. Nidal Qatamin, Industry, Trade and Supply Minister Eng. Yarub Qudah, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Najdawi, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Lebanon Walid Hadid, Director General of the Prime Minister's Office Ahmad Shishani, Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply Dana Al-Zoubi, and the Prime Minister's Media Advisor Saleh Daajeh.
Following the conclusion of the committee's work, 21 agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed.
