Dedicated Security Council session on Iran this evening

The Somali Mission to the United Nations announced that the UN Security Council will hold a special session on Iran this evening.
A Security Council source had previously told Novosti that the meeting was requested by the United States.
The Somali Permanent Mission to the UN responded to a question about whether the meeting would be held on January 15 at 11:00 pm Moscow time (3:00 pm New York time): "Yes, that is correct."
The Security Council President told reporters: "The presidency intends to schedule a meeting on the situation in Iran under the agenda item ‘Situation in the Middle East.’"
