Aoun Chairs Security Meeting, Calls for Continued Readiness Ahead of Paris Conference

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun chaired a security meeting attended by Defense Minister Michel Menassa, Interior Minister Ahmad al-Hajjar, Army Commander Rodolphe Haykal, and the heads of the security agencies.
During the meeting, President Aoun praised the existing cooperation and coordination among the security forces at all levels, stressing the importance of maintaining a high state of readiness, close monitoring, and the exchange of accurate information to ensure the effective conduct of security operations.
He noted that the coming phase requires additional efforts to further consolidate security and stability across the country. In this context, Aoun pointed out that the Cabinet is considering improvements to military salaries, in line with wages in the public sector, and asked Ministers Menassa and al-Hajjar to prepare the necessary studies to review military pay and allowances.
The President also requested that security agencies prepare detailed reports on their needs, so that participants in the Paris conference scheduled for March 5 are fully informed, in a manner that helps achieve the objectives of the conference.
