To describe the state of Hezbollah and its environment, it is enough to observe social media and what is being posted there. Reactions to the statements of the party’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, have varied in recent hours.
Just as many considered Hezbollah victorious at the end of the last war and following the ceasefire decision, some today also believe that Hezbollah is capable of confronting Israel and even defeating it. Worse still, this group challenges and threatens other Lebanese, making foolish and sectarian remarks about them.
We may not blame some whose minds have been washed and whose insight has been blinded, leading them to consider defeat as victory. More concerning are some who call themselves journalists or intellectuals, one of whom shared an image, likely unaware that it was AI-generated, of an Iranian aircraft carrier in the crosshairs of Iranian fire, claiming it was the reason Trump refrained from striking Iran.
From the nonsense of this crowd, another opinion is increasingly emerging within the Shiite community among people who think critically, distinguish facts, critique, and reject what is illogical. Watch the attached video for more.
