President of the Republic Joseph Aoun met at Baabda Palace with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi, with talks focusing on developments in southern Lebanon in light of continued Israeli attacks and the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address them. The meeting also touched on issues related to the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Separately, MP Walid Baarini said after meeting the President that his visit aimed to express support for Aoun, praising achievements made over the past year, the choice of negotiations, and recent diplomatic appointments. He reaffirmed his backing of the arms-exclusivity file and highlighted development demands in Akkar, including the Qlayaat Airport project.
In a statement, Farid Zaynoun, head of the Gas Sector Workers and Distributors Syndicate, condemned what he described as organized campaigns targeting the Presidency, stressing that the position of President is a constitutional "red line" and warning against rhetoric that undermines state institutions and national stability.
