Salam meets Muftis of Tripoli and Akkar

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam welcomed at the Grand Serail the Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Mohammad Imam, and the Mufti of Akkar, Sheikh Zaid Zakaria.
Following the meeting, Mufti Imam said that discussions focused on the conditions in Tripoli and Akkar, noting that Prime Minister Salam showed particular concern for citizens’ welfare, especially regarding the urgent issue of structurally unsound buildings in Tripoli, which poses a direct threat to lives.
In a separate meeting, Prime Minister Salam also received Ambassador Simon Karam, head of the Lebanese negotiating delegation to the Mechanism Committee, to discuss related files.
