President of the Republic Joseph Aoun was briefed by a delegation from the National Social Security Fund, headed by Acting Chairman Ghazi Yahya, on the fund’s current situation, recent improvements in benefits provided to insured members, and the status of its financial assets held at the Banque du Liban.
President Aoun stressed the NSSF’s vital role in strengthening social security and safeguarding social stability.
The President also received Edgar Lawandos, Director General of State Security, who briefed him on the agency’s ongoing tasks, particularly its efforts to combat corruption within public administrations and institutions.
