Bassil requests public debate with Geagea over allegations

Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil wrote on X, calling on journalist Marcel Ghanem to organize a televised debate between himself and Samir Geagea, saying it would reveal to the Lebanese public who is “corrupt, criminal, and responsible for wrongdoing against Christians, the Lebanese people, their state, and their country.”
Bassil added that Geagea would not dare accept the challenge, describing him as a coward, and said he would expose what he called Geagea’s lies and crimes, not only against people he accused him of harming in the past, but also against the state, which he said Geagea continues to undermine on a daily basis.
