Morcos highlights media and investment opportunities at Web Summit Qatar

Minister of Information Paul Morcos took part in a series of media appearances from Doha on the sidelines of his participation as a keynote speaker at Web Summit Qatar 2026, inaugurated by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, in the presence of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, and Arab and international officials.
Morcos said Lebanon’s participation underscores its renewed Arab presence and aims to strengthen communication, cooperation, and networking, highlighting significant opportunities for joint partnerships with sister and friendly countries, as well as with the private sector in Lebanon and abroad.
The Minister stressed that Lebanon’s future in the media and technology sectors remains promising despite security and financial challenges, noting that investments often target emerging and post-crisis markets. Morcos emphasized the growing link between media and technology, the importance of leveraging innovation responsibly, and the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing media outreach.
Morcos added that the event provided an opportunity to invite investors to Lebanon and reaffirmed Qatar’s continued support, expressing optimism about expanding Qatari–Lebanese partnerships amid renewed stability.
