The Forecast Division at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expects stable weather conditions to prevail over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin, with a rise in temperatures. This will continue until midday Friday, when conditions will turn unsettled with scattered rainfall.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
Wednesday:
Partly cloudy in the morning, becoming partly cloudy to cloudy in the evening with high clouds and rising temperatures, especially inland and over mountainous areas. Fog will form over the mountains, leading to poor visibility.
Thursday:
Partly cloudy to cloudy with high clouds and a further rise in temperatures, exceeding seasonal averages. Humidity will decrease, and winds will be active, particularly in southern regions, with a chance of light dust in the air, occasionally reducing visibility.
Friday:
Partly cloudy to cloudy, with temperatures rising along the coast and dropping over the mountains and inland areas, along with some dust in the atmosphere. Cloud cover will gradually increase during the day, creating conditions favorable for scattered rain in the evening, with a chance of thunder and lightning. Winds will strengthen, reaching up to 60 km/h, especially in northern areas.
Saturday:
Mostly cloudy with a drop in temperatures. Scattered rain is expected, intensifying gradually from the afternoon, particularly in northern regions. Snowfall is expected at elevations of 1,900 meters and above, with active winds that may occasionally intensify, especially in the north, reaching around 85 km/h.
Additional details:
Surface winds: Southwesterly during the day, variable and light at night, with speeds between 10 and 35 km/h
Visibility: Generally good, deteriorating over mountainous areas due to fog from the afternoon onward
Relative humidity on the coast: Between 55% and 75%
Sea conditions: Low waves
Sea surface temperature: 19°C
Atmospheric pressure: 1022 hPa (equivalent to 767 mmHg)
Sunrise: 06:33
Sunset: 17:12
