Army denies reports of meeting between Lebanese, Israeli officers in US

The Army Command- Guidance Directorate issued the following statement:
"A local newspaper published an article containing false information about a meeting between a Lebanese Army officer and an Israeli Army officer in the United States of America.
The Army Command categorically denies this news and confirms that what was stated in the article is completely untrue and is not based on any facts. It also clarifies that it conducts all of its meetings within the approved legal and official frameworks, in a manner that preserves Lebanon’s sovereignty and its supreme national interest.
The Army Command calls on the media to exercise accuracy and responsibility when dealing with matters related to the military institution, and not to publish fabricated information at this sensitive stage."
