Labor Minister heads to Morocco for Global Conference on ending Child Labor

Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar departed Beirut morning for the Kingdom of Morocco, leading a delegation from the Ministry of Labor to participate in the Sixth Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labor.

The conference, jointly organized by the Moroccan government and the International Labour Organization (ILO), will be held from February 11 to 13, 2026, with the participation of representatives from all UN member states, alongside international and regional organizations and specialized experts.

The event aims to exchange best practices and accelerate international efforts to eradicate child labor in all its forms. Minister Haidar is scheduled to deliver Lebanon’s address, outlining the country’s position, national experiences, ongoing efforts, existing challenges, and prospects for enhanced international cooperation in combating child labor.
