Watch: Storm leaves 850,000 homes without electricity

Power has been cut to around 850,000 homes in southwestern France due to the powerful Storm “Nils.”
Local media reported: “As a result of Storm Nils, 850,000 homes remain without electricity this morning. The hardest-hit areas are the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France (485,000 homes) and the Occitanie region in the south (318,000 homes). The storm brought heavy rainfall and strong winds exceeding 150 km/h in some areas.”
Weather alert levels have been raised to red (the highest level of danger) in four French departments and to orange (the second-highest level) in 32 others.
