Cabinet Releases Official Evacuation Numbers for Unsafe Homes

The Prime Minister’s Office announced that, in line with directives issued on February 9, 2026, field and administrative measures are ongoing under an integrated plan focused on public safety and ensuring the necessary social, health, and engineering support.
So far, the authorities have:
- Evacuated 16 structurally compromised buildings
- Relocated 161 families from these buildings
- Provided temporary shelters for all families requesting assistance, totaling 46 families
- Begun reinforcing seven buildings deemed salvageable based on technical reports
In addition, all affected families have been enrolled in the Ministry of Social Affairs’ “Aman” program to ensure continued social support, as well as the Ministry of Public Health’s healthcare coverage program.
