Salam discusses economic reforms with French Envoy’s Adviser, meets FIFA President

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Serail, Jacques de Lajugie, economic adviser to the French President’s special envoy to Lebanon, in the presence of French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro.
Discussions focused on the progress made in economic reforms, particularly regarding amendments to the banking restructuring law, fiscal policy, public spending, and the draft law on financial regularization and deposit recovery, with the aim of reaching an agreement with the International Monetary Fund, as outlined in the government’s ministerial statement.
Premier Salam received Gianni Infantino, the President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), in the presence of Hashem Haidar, the President of the Lebanese Football Federation, who said that the discussion centered on the grant provided by FIFA to build a football stadium with international standards, as well as the efforts to find a suitable plot of land for the project.
