Naffi, French Envoy discuss IMEC integration

Beirut Port Chairman and Director General Marwan Naffi received French Presidential Envoy for the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) Gérard Mestrallet, with whom he discussed the port’s prospective role in the regional trade initiative.
Following a site tour, Naffi outlined progress in infrastructure rehabilitation, enhanced operational readiness, and strengthened supply chain efficiency to align with the proposed maritime–rail corridor.
He also presented a strategic vision to position Beirut Port as a pivotal logistics hub along the India–Middle East–Europe route.
The visit comes within ongoing efforts to advance IMEC, aimed at reshaping trade flows through integrated maritime and rail connectivity.
