Berri meets Qatari Ambassador, Food Safety Authority delegation

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, at Ain el-Tineh, where discussions focused on developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.
Berri also met a delegation from the Lebanese Food Safety Authority headed by Dr. Elie Naji Aouad, who briefed him on the authority’s objectives, mandate, and work programs.
Following the meeting, Aouad described the talks as constructive, stressing that the authority serves as a scientific and regulatory body working in full coordination with relevant administrations. He emphasized that its mission is to protect public health, strengthen confidence in the food sector, and support Lebanon’s production and export reputation.
