Raggi discusses preparations for Paris' army support conference with French Ambassador

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi welcomed French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro, with talks focusing on the ongoing preparations for the conference to support the Lebanese army and internal security forces, scheduled to be held in Paris on March 5.
The discussion also dwelt on the latest developments on the local and regional scenes.
Ambassador Magro handed Minister Raggi an official invitation to participate in the conference.
Minister Raggi emphasized the importance of ensuring the success of this conference in a way that enhances the capabilities of the legitimate security institutions and supports their role in maintaining security and stability," stressing "Lebanon's commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination with France and other international partners in this regard."
Raggi also received at his ministry office Dr. Majed Mneinmeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL), who briefed him on the activities of IDAL and its work programs. They also discussed prospects for enhancing cooperation between IDAL and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote investments in Lebanon and streamline procedures for investors.
The Foreign Minister also met with Romania’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Radu Cătălin Mardare, who came in a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. Raggi praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and wished the outgoing Ambassador success in his future duties.
