Menassa discusses army support and second phase of plan to extend state authority with US Defense Attaché

Minister of National Defense Major General Michel Menassa received US Defense Attaché in Lebanon, Colonel Jason Belknap, at his Yarzeh office.
Colonel Belknap praised the level of partnership and cooperation between the Lebanese Army and the United States of America, stressing "the importance of continuing to support the army across various sectors."
The discussion focused on preparations for the conference scheduled to be held in Paris to support the military institution, as well as the second phase of the army’s plan aimed at extending state authority across all Lebanese territory and the mechanism adopted for its implementation.
The discussions also covered the daily Israeli violations and the role of the ceasefire monitoring committee and its mechanism for monitoring these violations, mitigating their impact on Lebanon, and expediting the Lebanese Army’s implementation of the agreed plan.
