Beirut Port on Full Alert, Opens Around the Clock

In light of the current developments in the region, which require the highest levels of readiness and responsible follow-up, the Port of Beirut Authority announced that, based on directives from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Public Works, Fayez Rasamny, the port will operate 24/7 in order to facilitate and accelerate the release of goods.
This decision comes as part of efforts to ensure the continued operation of this vital facility and to guarantee the smooth flow of supply chains, particularly with regard to essential goods linked to national food security and public health, thereby reinforcing supply stability and safeguarding the public interest.
The authority confirmed that all its administrative, technical and logistical departments have been placed on full alert, in coordination with the relevant bodies, to ensure the proper functioning of operations in line with the highest safety and security standards. It also called on all stakeholders and concerned companies to cooperate with this measure in order to achieve the shared objective of supporting the national economy and protecting citizens.
