Israeli Army Claims Killing of Quds Force Lebanon Commander

The Israeli army has announced that it “eliminated the commander of the Lebanon Corps of the Iranian Quds Force in Tehran.”

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said that the air force carried out a strike in the Tehran area, killing Daoud Ali Zadeh, who served as acting commander of the Lebanon Corps of the Quds Force after Hassan Mahdavi was killed in a previous Israeli strike. Adraee described Ali Zadeh as the highest-ranking Iranian commander responsible for Iran’s activities in Lebanon.

He added that the Lebanon Corps serves as a link between Hezbollah and the Iranian leadership, supporting the group’s military buildup and acting as a connection between senior Quds Force commanders and Hezbollah leadership.

Adraee also stated that Israel would not allow Iranian forces to be stationed in Lebanese territory in a way that would undermine Lebanon’s reconstruction or strengthen Hezbollah.

He concluded that the Israeli army will continue to act against attempts to rebuild and arm Hezbollah, and will firmly counter any threat to Israeli citizens.
