Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X that Israeli forces carried out dozens of waves of airstrikes yesterday targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut, the Bekaa, and several areas in southern Lebanon.
He added that additional assets linked to the Qard al-Hassan association and other key economic resources belonging to Hezbollah were targeted in Beirut, saying the strikes were intended to deepen the blow to Hezbollah, which he accused of using citizens’ money to fund financial services for its military activities. These strikes, he said, build on previous raids targeting the association and further weaken Hezbollah’s financial resources.
Adraee also stated that the recent strikes halted the association’s operations entirely, describing it as a significant blow to the group’s military buildup. He added that the Israeli army also struck around 10 Hezbollah weapons depots in the Bekaa and other areas of southern Lebanon, including sites between the Litani and Zahrani rivers from which rockets were allegedly launched toward Israel last Wednesday.
He concluded that the Israeli army will continue acting forcefully against Hezbollah’s decision to join the fighting under Iranian backing and will not allow any harm to Israeli citizens.
