11 Civil Defense personnel injured in an airstrike on Nabatieh

The Directorate of Media and Public Relations at the General Directorate of Civil Defense issued the following statement:

“At approximately 8:00 p.m. on March 17, 2026, eleven Civil Defense personnel from the Nabatieh Regional Center were injured to varying degrees as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted a building located about twenty meters from the Nabatieh Regional Center affiliated with the General Directorate of Civil Defense.

The explosion resulted in direct injuries to the eleven personnel while they were inside the center, necessitating their transfer to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their injuries were described as varied. The strike also caused significant damage to the center and its vehicles.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense affirms that its teams remain on full readiness around the clock and will continue to carry out their duties in serving citizens despite the increasing risks and challenges.”
