MP Elias Stephan responded to the statements of Hezbollah’s Deputy Political Council President Mahmoud Qamati on MTV, saying: “Anyone who accuses others of disloyalty, compares the Lebanese government to the Vichy regime, or justifies executions is undermining the state and its legitimacy. Those trying to throw the country into chaos are the real threat.”
Similarly, MP Ahmad Al-Khair addressed Qamati , stating: “Qamati's words serve Israel’s project in the region and stir internal strife in Lebanon. There is a clear alignment between Hezbollah and Israel.”
