Information Minister Paul Morcos called on journalists covering ongoing Israeli strikes, particularly in the south, to exercise maximum caution and adhere to strict safety measures while reporting on the ground.
Morcos also urged media organizations to ensure safe working conditions for their staff amid attacks "that spare no one," encouraging them to coordinate with the Information Ministry to address any operational challenges
Following his series of security contacts, Morcos renewed his appeal to the international community to ensure the protection of journalists, affirming that targeting media professionals under any pretext is a blatant violation of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, their 1977 additional protocols, and the international humanitarian law.
He indicated that such violations are being formally documented and reported to the United Nations through official channels.
