The Israeli army announced the capture of two members of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in southern Lebanon after their surrender.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on his X account:

“During an operation by the Givati Brigade in southern Lebanon to detect weapons, the forces spotted several terrorists from Hezbollah’s Radwan Force who were planning to fire an anti-tank missile at the troops. The terrorists had also set up a launch pad for an anti-tank missile and planned to fire rockets toward northern towns. Shortly after being spotted, the forces captured the terrorists following their surrender, seizing numerous weapons and combat equipment. Last night, the forces destroyed the building from which the terrorists were operating.

The terrorists surrendered after observing extensive IDF activity in the area targeting terrorist infrastructure. Preliminary investigations by Unit 504 show that the operatives arrived from the Bekaa region to southern Lebanon at the start of Operation Roaring Lion, contrary to the Lebanese army’s claims of operational control south of the Litani River. This incident further confirms that the Lebanese army failed to prevent the transfer of militants and weapons into southern Litani.

The Israel Defense Forces will continue to act forcefully against Hezbollah, which has chosen to join the battle under the sponsorship of the Iranian regime, and will not allow harm to Israeli citizens.”
