South Governorate Operations Room: 22,000 displaced people in 69 shelters

South Governorate Disaster and Crisis Management Operations Room: Work is ongoing under the direction of Governor Mansour Daou, with follow-up by official Salam Badr El-Dine, to meet the needs of displaced people in Sidon, its eastern villages, and Jezzine.
According to the latest update, 69 shelters are currently hosting around 22,000 displaced persons, including the Faculty of Public Health building in Sidon, where several floors have been allocated to accommodate families, as numbers continue to rise from Nabatieh, Tyre, Jezzine, and Bint Jbeil. Sidon remains the area hosting the largest number of displaced.
Badr El-Dine confirmed that all parties are cooperating under the supervision of Governor Daou, alongside humanitarian organizations, the Lebanese and International Red Cross, the Council for the South, and the Ministry of Social Affairs, to ensure the needs of displaced people are met.
