Macron Promises Armored Vehicle Support to Lebanese Army

French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on X:
“Yesterday, I held talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. Since the beginning of the military escalation initiated by Hezbollah, the Lebanese government has taken strong and courageous measures to implement its program aimed at reinforcing sovereignty in a way that serves the interests of all Lebanese.
At this critical moment for the country’s future, I reaffirmed France’s full support to the President. We will continue delivering humanitarian aid to displaced populations and maintain our steadfast support for the Lebanese Armed Forces and internal security forces by providing them in the coming days with armored transport vehicles.
The unity of Lebanon’s territory, the protection of civilians regardless of their sect, and the preservation of state institutions and the country’s infrastructure are all essential.”
