Al-Moallem: we are ready to negotiate with the arms’ detainers

01/01/0001

Syrian authorities accept to talk with the armed opposition, as declared by the Syrian Foreign Minister, Walid al-Moallem  breaking hence the deadlock. However, the expression he used in the Syrian capital was the readiness to negotiate with who is willing for it including those who carry arms.

The new Syrian stance had been voiced by Al-Moallem during the discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the Russian capital which would be visited soon by Ahmad Mouaz al-Khatiab, Head of the Syrian Opposed Coalition.

Nevertheless, Lavrov apprehended an expected break-up of the Syrian state if the crisis and violence continue. These meetings went with several clarifications presented to pro-Media by the Syrian Information Minister Omran aZoubi who denied any use of scud missiles by the regime and any intervention from Hezbollah in the fighting in Syria and considered that the Syrian army do not need such kind of aid neither on fighters level or their numbers nor on arms level.

Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius welcomed the Syrian opposition declaration of constituting a provisional government to administrate the regions under its control and invited it to continue its positive work despite its decision to suspend any participation in international meetings.
