Military source to MTV website: This battle could be a prelude to a ceasefire

A military source suggested that the Battle of Bint Jbeil, which Israel is currently engaged in, could serve as a prelude to a ceasefire, allowing Israel to establish a buffer zone. The war had started with only five points of engagement, so this would give Israel more than it had on the eve of the Hezbollah operation it called “Operation Devoured Straw,” as it increased both its area of control and the number of prisoners, in addition to gaining a significant political advantage through direct negotiations with the Lebanese government.
