Preliminary talks between Lebanon and Israel are set to begin this afternoon at the United States Department of State.
Sources at the State Department told MTV that the negotiation track launching today is highly positive for Lebanon and represents the only path to peace. They added that there will be a handshake between the Lebanese ambassador and the Israeli ambassador in the presence of Issa before moving to another room to begin the talks, after which a statement is expected to be issued.
