Rahi broaches security developments with UN envoy

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rahi held a series of meetings at the patriarchal seat in Bkerke, focusing on security, political, and social developments in Lebanon.
He met with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, with talks covering recent field and security developments, as well as the latest domestic and regional updates.
Separately, Patriarch Rahi received Australian Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Wilson on a protocol visit marking the start of his mission, during which they discussed current conditions and bilateral relations.
The Patriarch also met a delegation from the Christian Coordination Council, headed by Bishop Antoine Abou Najem. Discussions focused on the situation of Christians in southern border villages amid ongoing hostilities, with the delegation stressing the need to ensure protection and support for residents remaining in these areas.
