Chinese Ambassador after meeting Minister of Culture: We support all efforts to achieve stability in Lebanon

Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received in his office at the National Library in Sanayeh the Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Chen Chuandong.
Discussions focused on recent developments and bilateral relations across various sectors, including the cultural field and ways to strengthen it, as the ambassador explained following the meeting.
He said: "I was honored to meet Minister Salameh. It was an opportunity to highlight the importance of enhancing cultural exchange between our two countries. I also reaffirmed our commitment to moving forward with the completion of the National Conservatory building in the Dbayeh area, funded by the Chinese government, and stressed the importance of its inauguration as a cultural landmark with significant meaning for Lebanon, a country considered a major cultural hub in the region."
In response to a question about his country’s position regarding the current situation in Lebanon, he said: "We support all efforts aimed at achieving stability in Lebanon and hope that solutions will be fair and lasting, and that everyone will abide by them."
The Chinese Ambassador also noted that he had briefed the mMinister on the humanitarian aid provided by his country, which is on its way to Lebanon to support it amid the current circumstances.
